    This system allows the vehicle drivers to pass the toll tax booths without stopping at the toll booths. The toll amount is deducted from the RFID card. This RFID card is rechargeable and account is stored on the records. This system will have two benefits: 1. First benefit is that movement of traffic will be much faster as user will not wait to give the money because, driver has to just show the RFID card in-front of the card reader. 2. Second benefit is that driver doesn't have to carry the money each time. He will just recharge the RFID card by certain amount and will use this card each time he travels. This is little bit similar to using credit cards.

    Remote Surveillance Vehicle

    In this project, the robot is controlled by a mobile phone that makes a call to the mobile phone attached to the robot. In the course of a call, if any button is pressed, a tone corresponding to the button pressed is heard at the other end of the call.This tone is called "dual tone multiple-frequency" (DTMF) tone. The robot perceives this DTMF tone with the help of the phone stacked on the robot. The received tone is processed by the microcontroller with the help of DTMF decoder. The microcontroller then transmits the signal to the motor driver IC"s to operate the motors. The camera and micro-phone mounted on the robot will give the detailed information of where the robot is and who is around. The signal is then transmitted to the observer via audio/video transmitter-receiver. The metal detector circuit mounted on the robot detects any metal object around it and transmits the signal wirelessly.

    Master slave communication

    Master slave communication monitors and controls the various parameters using the RS-232 protocol. 3 slave microcontrollers are interfaced with a Master microcontroller. This project is a multi-slave single master message broadcast system that is suitable for systems where data contained in short messages are needed to be received at multiple locations simultaneously. Because messages are sent to all the nodes in a system, this project is especially suited to systems where consistency in the received messages at all the receiving nodes is needed. In this case, all nodes are notified of the rejection, ensuring the data consistency across the network. Messages are sent to all nodes, but their "message identifiers" indicate whether each node should act on the message. However, all nodes participate in indicating whether the message was sent correctly, increasing the reliability of the bus.

    Greenhouse Robot

    The project consists of temperature & light monitoring and controlling. This unit is installed on a Robot which moves through the greenhouse on a predefined track. This project will consist of three basis modules. First is "Parameters Monitoring" second is "Parameters Controlling" and third is automatic movement of Robot on a predefined path. A display unit will show the values of parameters like Temperature and Light. This will help for the person to know the values, for this purpose we are going to use various sensors, which will be connected to ADC. The other module is named as parameter controlling. It can be used to control the values of temperature. We are going to use two relays for this purpose. First relay should be connected to a FAN and another should be connected to a heater. This system is useful as many times it’s difficult to measure and control the parameter values manually and also this module is more accurate than the domestic greenhouse system. Robot is given a predefined motion depending upon the track of greenhouse. Robot will move throughout the greenhouse. Then it will measure the values of temperature and light while traveling through the greenhouse. At the same time it will control the values of these parameters. PC interfacing is provided so as to send these parameter values to the PC. At the same time microcontroller will send the plant number or the position of robot to the PC.

    Main concept behind this project is to measure and display the number of persons entering in any room like seminar hall, conference room. LCD display placed outsiden the room displays this value. And when number of persons inside the room are zero, power supply inside the room can be cut using a relay interface. Second part of project serves the functionality of a door-latch opening using a password entered through keypad. As well as sending this data to a computer through serial port. This module also turns on buzzer if 3 wrong passwords are entered consequently. User can change this password anytime he/she wish using a keypad.

    Home security system project consist of three basic modules. First is IR transmitter and receiver module which works for the safety of doors at night or in case we are out of home. When the IR sensors are interrupted, a buzzer if turned on indicating someone is entered into house. LPG gas sensor is provided to detect the LPG Gas leakage. A buzzer is turned on when Gas is detected by the sensor. Third part of project serves the functionality of a door-latch opening using a password entered through keypad. This module also turns on buzzer if 3 wrong passwords are entered consequently. Data from all modules is sent to a computer through serial port.

    This project can be used for Advertising or for providing information at various places like shops, government offices, hospitals, railway stations. The Rolling display is prepared using 5 X 7 Matrix LEDs which means LEDs are arranged in a pattern consisting of 5 columns and 7 rows. A matrix of 5 X 7 LEDs contribute to a single character. Here we have used 6 characters which means 6 matrices. The actual physical dimension of single matrix is 10 cm by 8 cm, so dimension of complete display is 10 cm by 48 cm. A keypad used to select which message has to be displayed. These messages are stored in a EEPROM. PC interfacing is used for sending data to computer.

    Now days in many multiplex systems there is a severe problem for car parking systems. There are many lanes for car parking, so to park a car one has to look for the all lanes. Moreover there is a lot of men labor involved for this process for which there is lot of investment. So the need is to develop a system which indicates directly which lane is vacant. So the project objective is to develop a system to indicate the vacant lane. The project involves a system including infrared transmitter and receiver in every lane and a led display outside the car parking gate. Conventionally, car parking systems does not have any intelligent monitoring system. Parking lots are monitored by human beings. All vehicles enter into the parking and waste time for searching for parking slot. Sometimes it creates blockage. Condition become worse when there are multiple parking lanes and each lane have multiple parking slots. Use of automated system for car parking monitoring will reduce the human efforts. Display unit is installed on entrance of parking lot which will show LEDs for all Parking slot and for all parking lanes. Empty slot is indicated by the respective glowing LED.

We have used Microcontroller as a main component of the project. Now a Microcontroller has become a main component of many of the electronic circuits. Also Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and EEPROM are used on major basis for the display and storage purpose. This project which will consist of two basis modules. First is “Data monitoring” & other is “Data Storage”. A display unit will show the value of parameters. This will help for the person to know the values, for this purpose we are going to use various sensors, which will be connected to ADC. The other module is named as parameter storage. It can be used to store the parameter values in the memory. We are going to use EEPROM memory IC. These values can later see using a keypad provided on the front panel. This system is useful as many times it’s difficult to measure the parameter values manually and also this module is more accurate than the domestic system.
