Automatic Evaluating of Water Quality Using IoT

Project Code: 25P4U1

Abstract

This research presents the development and implementation of an IoT-based system for automatic water quality evaluation. The system utilizes a network of sensor nodes to collect real-time data on key water parameters (pH, turbidity, temperature, dissolved oxygen). This data is transmitted wirelessly to a central server for processing and analysis, enabling automated alerts and reports based on predefined thresholds. The system aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of water quality monitoring, reducing reliance on manual sampling and laboratory analysis. Results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed system in providing timely and reliable water quality assessments.

Introduction

Access to clean and safe water is crucial for public health and environmental sustainability. Traditional water quality monitoring methods are often labor-intensive, time-consuming, and prone to human error. This necessitates the development of automated, real-time monitoring systems. IoT technology offers a promising solution by enabling remote data acquisition, processing, and analysis. However, challenges remain in developing cost-effective, robust, and scalable IoT-based water quality monitoring systems that can operate reliably in diverse environmental conditions. This research addresses these challenges by proposing a novel system for automatic water quality evaluation.

Objectives

  • To develop a low-cost, robust IoT-based water quality monitoring system.
  • To implement real-time data acquisition and analysis of key water quality parameters.
  • To design a user-friendly interface for data visualization and alert generation.
