CDA Generation and Integration for Health Information Exchange Based on Cloud Computing System

Project Code: 25P4U24

Abstract

This research explores the development and implementation of a secure and efficient system for generating and integrating Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents within a cloud-based health information exchange (HIE) framework. The objective is to address the challenges of interoperability and data security in current HIE systems by leveraging cloud computing's scalability and flexibility. The proposed system utilizes a modular design incorporating robust security measures and standardized CDA generation processes to improve data exchange efficiency and accuracy. Results demonstrate a significant improvement in data exchange speed and security compared to existing methods.

Introduction

The increasing demand for seamless health information exchange necessitates robust and secure systems. Current HIE systems often suffer from interoperability issues, security vulnerabilities, and scalability limitations, hindering efficient data sharing among healthcare providers. CDA, a standard for electronic health record exchange, offers a solution, but its effective implementation within a secure and scalable architecture remains a challenge. This research aims to address these challenges by designing and implementing a cloud-based system for CDA generation and integration, improving data security, interoperability, and efficiency of health information exchange.

Objectives

  • Develop a secure and scalable cloud-based platform for CDA generation and integration.
  • Improve the efficiency and speed of health information exchange compared to existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
