Project Code: 25P4U21
This research explores enhancing cloud security through a reputation-based trust management system integrated with CloudArmor. The objective is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of identifying and mitigating malicious traffic targeting cloud services. The scope includes developing a novel reputation scoring algorithm and integrating it with existing CloudArmor functionality. The conclusion demonstrates a significant improvement in threat detection and response times, reducing the impact of malicious activities on cloud resources.
Cloud services face escalating security threats, demanding robust defense mechanisms. While CloudArmor provides a strong foundation, its effectiveness can be further enhanced by incorporating reputation-based trust management. Traditional security approaches often rely on reactive measures, lagging behind sophisticated attacks. This research addresses the gap by developing a proactive system that leverages reputation data from multiple sources to preemptively identify and mitigate threats before they impact cloud resources. This is crucial in mitigating advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day exploits.
